This goes across racial lines, I think, but is made racial by the preponderance of people of color playing the sports..and that until yesterday were only POCs protesting.

Right wingers don't appreciate the arts either no matter the color. The arts almost always tells the tales of oppression. Of class wars and wars on the environment. . They never listen to music, think it's easy to be an actor,(be good looking), or performer and HATE it when money goes to public art. Art they like if they can make money on it, is an investment, or serves them in some way, but seldom just for the art, the joy of it.
