(58,785 posts)71. Better a shot now than 8 people with the flu at Thanksgiving,
possibly 10, out of the 14 family and friends who came from 3 states and various cities to a gathering in Florida; some went home sick and/or well?, so never got a full count. But most arrived a day or two before, someone was presumably infectious even though not feeling kick yet, it incubated, actually mercifully skipped Thanksgiving Day, and hit the group big that night and the day after.
Incubation period, btw, is 1-4 days, average 2.
