I doubt the school board or parents will disagree with the driver's actions. He was trying to break into the bus and his behavior was irrational. If he had been injured because he decided to jump in front of a bus, that would be his fault. The driver did appear to be driving slowly, limiting the risk to the crazy guy who tried to board the bus full of kids. If this was a family in a van, castle doctrine might apply depending on the state and it could have been worse for him.
