(11,767 posts)That it one thing (and this is not directed at you CincyDem) that I don't understand in this situation. The Donald Trump that we saw in the 70's and 80's getting hit with discrimination suits, that we saw in the mid 80's railing against the Central Park 5, that we saw cheat on not one but 2 wives, that we saw in the 2000's spouting racist birtherism, that we heard throughout the campaign... that guy is the real Donald Trump. There is no other guy back there who will somehow change or come out and become presidential.
We have a rich spoiled, emotionally stunted, tremendously damaged, racist man who never really had to work hard in his life and there are still people who think that there is more there. He is 71! There is no change coming, except the likely descent into dementia and continual decline in functioning.
