He had been very ill and was in the liver transplant program at UCLA Medical Center, but his condition simply was not good enough to survive until that could happen. I'll be flying out to California sometime this week for his memorial service and to provide whatever comfort I can to the rest of the family.

It's very hard to lose your younger brother. He was only 67 years old. It is a sad, sad time for everyone who knew him, and especially for my sister and I. My parents, who are 92 and 93 years old, are heartbroken.
