Nothing to do with the airlines. If they actually do call up all 1,000 retired Air Force pilots (assuming they are still eligible for service), that could affect the airlines because they'd have to hire more pilots to replace those who left the Air Force to work for an airline (which wouldn't have been all of them). Those pilots would come from the smaller regional airlines - and those are the ones that might eventually be scrambling to come up with qualified pilots.
