As we say, better late than never! I somehow missed your reply. 
That's an interesting review of the UK situation. Many of us here think that the Europeans do things smarter from centuries of experience, but maybe that's not always true. It appears that humans have very short memories, and our populations do not show much interest in history studies.
The list you showed could almost be duplicated for America, with just a few changes of the nouns, LOL. And, we're going through resignations and the blame-game here as well, and all the while the wealthy are making out like bandits.
It would be interesting if we could fast-forward time for around 100 years and look back at how our societies dug our way out!
