(11,701 posts)82. **UPDATE**
- We're still working on this -- right now -- there are 55 absentee ballots in question that are apparently military voters. Our lawyers are working on a court order to get the provisional ballot logs released and to make sure the military absentee voters are not disenfranchised
The information concerning 1000 absentee ballots being "thrown out" was apparently a misunderstanding by an elected official who is fighting for her own recount. She was either told this in error or she misinterpreted the numbers of disqualified absentee ballots. Our lawyers who have looked into this matter don't think that the information on the 1000 disqualified ballots is accurate.
There is a question about a flier that provisional voters were given that contained incorrect info. This flier informed voters that they had until noon on Friday (today) to appear at the registrar's office to validate their ballots. But today is a holiday and the office is closed. Voters have until Noon on Monday, 11/13 to verify their vote. The Registrar has been asked to show us the flier -- this might be part of the court order as well.

Wow! Actually may be good news because it suggests the Democratic candidate won.
