What WILL It Take To Get Sensible Gun Laws Considering All The Carnage? [View all]

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by DonViejo (a host of the General Discussion forum).

There seems to be absolutely NO level of violence that will get the Us sensible gun control. When Reagan got shot we ended up with a assault weapons ban even though a hand gun was used. Yet that ban was only temporary. Now we are inundated with guns of every shape and variety that grow more lethal by he day.

And it is so obvious that assault weapons make mass murder on recent scale possible. Perhaps there is NO limit. The fact that Sandy Hook WAS NOT HORRIBLE ENOUGH. It was the worst of the worst on any scale because the victims were truly defenseless toddlers.

As horrible as all the mass shootings have been since, Sandy Hook should have been the absolute end. Yet it was not. Why? And the fact that parents of the victims have beens o viciously attacked and threatened says so much about our country and culture of extreme violence. As terrible as it is to lose a loved one to such attacks, losing a child has to be the worst of the worst.

Now e have a pedophile who is being defended. When you are crass about protecting your own children we have a very serious mental illness in this country.

Defending the indefensible as a now normal is the DEATH of a nation morally, spiritually and culturally. And as much as we condemn the terrorist aTTAck in Egypt we are beginning to look like them. Are we really any better.?
