17. Unfortunately, a bad reading of the 2nd Amendment

Note the words "well-regulated" militia. What we have now is a "non-regulated" militia - free-for-all on guns. And the consequences of it can be seen in the statistics on gun violence compared to all other countries. Actually, the consequences are clear in the hearts of everyone who has to attend funerals because of senseless, stupid use of guns.

"The right to bear arms" has been abused in this country. If only there were as much passion for the phrases "insure domestic tranquility" and "promote the general welfare" as there is about the 2nd Amendment.
