10. I agree to a certain extent.

Protests and strikes are great and all but we need to get the right people in power which means getting Democrats elected. Protest movements such as Occupy Wall Street did nothing to prevent the Republicans from eventually capturing the federal government and most state governments.

Too many people these days seem to prefer direct action over ordinary political campaigns and I think this is a bad thing. We need to end the anti-politics culture that is rampant in this country. I am not talking about the OP but about "Americans" generally.
