They vote their values. Unfortunately, for too many in Alabama, their values are informed by 400 years of racist policies aimed at dividing white from black. You win by showing them new values, ones where they can join together with others of different races. To get them to see black people as neighbors not enemies. Won't convince all of them, but it might convince enough to swing an election.
