I honestly think this is the first time I've sat through an entire Trump speech, this one for the FBI Academy graduation ceremony. It was very difficult, to listen to. I also honestly thought that all the previous sound bites I'd been hearing on left leaning news reports (including DU) were showing the worst of Trump, simply because they have an interest in painting him in a poor light.

I admit I was wrong....these were not biased sound bites, this is exactly how Trump speaks. He finds the one liner that elicits cheers and repeats it several times until it has worn thin. In this speech it was how he, Trump is the biggest, best, most ardent protector of law enforcement...only he is the champion. At some point the cheering volume reduced to a smattering of applause...he finally quit brining it up.

Trump's speech was full of verifiable errors, lies and phoney campaign rhetoric. His off script ad libbing was laughable, repeated numerous times over the last year and clearly was designed to appeal to the most inane Fox viewer. His rambling diatribes of platitudes that seemed not only shallow but rang hollow never did elicit the hat tossing cheers he was clearly looking up to see...and missed. Even his most ardent audience members fell asleep for a moment.

I doubt I'll ever spend the time to listen to another speech...those sound bites are already barely tollerable, but at least I know they are actually a true reflection of the fucking idiot in chief.
