I imagine that as they listen, they are all hearing their own speech, as if he is talking just to them. So his actual words don't mean very much, except when he repeats some catch phrase over and over again, "Build the wall", "Drain the swamp" "Crooked Hillary". Then add the eye rolls, facial expressions, and odd hand gestures, it becomes a symphony of anger and hate.

If we all survive this, I hope someone does do a study on how this kind of communication affects people.
