I do know there was a lot of coverage at the time that direct calls to the corps resulted in assurances there would be no flooding and then they opened the dams. If authorities were told that is news but I'm sure it will come out in the trial. My end of town flooded horribly but no one is suing because it was just due to the rain. The corps has called it a 1000 year flood but I'm not sure how they would know that.
