In return, they have clean streets and it's safe to go out at night. They don't mess around with thugs.

Besides, the perps are getting hit with felony charges. It's going to be on their criminal records for the rest of their lives. That WILL ruin their lives. I don't support that. I think we should knock the thug out of them with some Singapore Justice followed by some time on a work gang, and then give them a chance to live out productive lives unencumbered by a record that would prevent them from getting jobs in the future.
