3. We can't pray away gun violence

Another mass shooting, we can't blame religion, terrorism or workplace violence.
This is another all too common occurrence of extreme violence exacerbated by the easy access to firearms and ammunition. If we can't regulate the actual firearms we need to go after the ammunition. Tax it, regulate it, require massive burdens of insurance and compliance at the federal state and local level. We need to make possessing ammunition costly and time consuming, we need to make it not worth the effort. If we regulate the bullets eventually we could control the guns, no bullets and the gun is worthless. We could make the possession of untaxed and unregistered bullets a felony carrying lengthy prison sentences, manufacturing ammunition even longer with life for repeat offenders. I know this sounds draconian but we need serious solutions.
