The criminal youth were not, didn't give a damn, and didn't care. The victim's right to defend herself are non-existent in NYC. There's a difference between "compromising" on firearms rights and outright denying them.

FWIW my sister but a Beretta in her attacker's face and stopped his ass cold, held him until the cops came. She's a single mom and there's no issues with gun safety in the apartment and her kids. The kids grew up just fine and have moved out, zero accidents or incidents. The bad news is the asswipe has done his time and is out of jail, I bet fully reformed too.

Every time I hear about a crime in one of these high gun law cities/states it makes me think about where we're headed. What makes me more scared is the high number of police shootings in these same cities.

.........and yet the victims of crimes have no guarantee of safety by the police.
