But if Bernie wins the nomination, which is highly unlikely, the Trump line would be Bernie the Communist 24/7 Not true but red meat to the Tea Partiers and racist base. They would use it to bring out the RW vote to historic highs and it would work.

Sounds defeatist but I think pushing Hillary to the left and getting Liz Warren into cabinet if the Dems don't get a senate majority is the best plan

To clarify my wife is a hard left ex union president and I am no stranger to Marxism and new Left political history So both my wife and I are suspicious of Hillary's right-wing preferences when she's in power

Her record of pushing for Assad's overthrow is entirely too adamant without reason and has contributed to the near destruction of Syria

In addition to that everyone I have talked to who is interested in American politics is in favour of Bernie Sanders Maybe the Trudeau effect, I don't know but the self serving heavy hand of conservative is dead for a generation up here
