In reply to the discussion: Hillary PAC spends $1,000,000 to "correct" commenters on Reddit, Facebook and Instagram [View all]retrowire
(10,345 posts)It needs no explanation. But I'll simply say this...
Do you believe in our current political system that anyone could actually gain notable support against either of the dominant parties?
The phrase is, "if you can't beat them, join them."
Bernie has done plenty for the Democratic party during his career as an independent. Better than that, he inspired millions to join the party. More than Hillary.
I joined this party simply because of him, all those folks in the rallies that outnumber Hillary's rallies 5 fold? Most of them as well.
You can say Bernie "used" the Democratic party sure... But what bad has he done to it? Really.
I'm sure you could argue, "He's dividing the party!" But we Bernie supporters can point the same finger at Hillary. There's two sides of a coin here, those who think the party belongs to the left and those who (in my opinion) think the party belongs to neocon DINO centrists.
If that's your perspective, fine. If you feel Bernie is some user of the party, I don't care, you're free to that opinion. You asked for an explanation, I provided my insight.
Take it or leave it and peace be with you.
