For some politicians, women's health decision autonomy and saner gun laws are secondary to other issues. We have a right to know that information and, as voters, decide whether they are secondary to us as well. Different people have different lines in the sand.
E. Warren endorsed Perriello earlier this week in VA, which surprised him and disappointed others due to his record on guns and choice. Warren has a professional history with Perriello and admires his consumer advocacy record. She prioritized her issues and decided which candidate to get behind. It was a very smart move in terms of Democratic party politics because it reminds voters that we are a big tent, we do have differences, and in the end we are one party. She cut the "us versus them " narrative off at the knees.
Selectively demanding perfection from some candidates while ignoring the imperfections of others helped elect Trump in November. People have to stop doing it.
