It should be abolished, and be just like any other normal and routine function of government. Since Trump is of a mind to work with Democrats, at least for the moment, Schumer and Pelosi should get a bill ready to move forward for his signature.

The Republicans are so frightened that Trump will unleash his bully boys and goons on their next reelection efforts, they might whine and mutter, but in the end they will have to kowtow to his demands.
