Someday historians will look back at this time period in the same way they do the months running up to August 1914, the 1930s, and various wars of imperial origins. "The Arms of Krupp" comes to mind as it documents armaments manufacture post 1587.

Destabilizing our treaties and world order leads one place. Yes, it is intentional. The question is whether conflicts will become too large to control.
