That fact that showing bravery on her part would have meant voting against Kavanaugh can now be carpeted over with her phony "courage stance." I wish people with these schemes would think out their chess moves a few in advance before acting. Now she not only gives McTurtle what he wants (as she was probably intending to do all along), but gets to display her "courage and fortitude" in the process--things which she has not displayed much of at all, while hinting at them all along. But do not look for--at long last--a sense of decency. She remains a dogmatic Republican. The chances of her showing a streak of decency at this point is slim, and the money threat against her only provides her with an undeserved cover to do the opposite.
