I hope we have a safe vaccine as soon as possible. But the virus is, indeed, novel and we know relatively little about it yet. We will make progress against this disease, but it just seems realistic to admit we don’t know how long it will take. It’s not fear monger it. It’s looking at the problem armed with as much information as possible.
