A veto would drastically set back the funding bill that's earmarked for things like gender-specific uniforms and body armor. It is particularly important that female soldiers have properly fitting armor.

And Biden, once President, can change the names via executive order with the stroke of a pen. Nothing the GOP can do about it either.
