but that doesn't change the fact that "sedition" is precisely what is being engaged in here.

The definition per Webster: "incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority"

If they are not charged with it this time then we will be repeating the mistake that was made after the end of the active, or hot, part of the Civil War. The leaders of that seditious act got away with it last time, heck, monuments to those leaders were allowed to be displayed in public. I hope I'm wrong but it sounds like you might be okay with them getting off scot free with this again.

I am not and I hope as a party we are willing to make sure these people understand that actions have consequences. To behave in this manner at any time is an action of sedition, to act this way during a time of public health crisis is beyond the pale.
