I use a body mounted (actually it is mounted on my hat) and I hit the button to record and about one of out of 5 times or so, the camera doesn't start recording.
having said that, there should be a way to tie the camera activation to the opening of the car door like the key fob door unlocking/car starting so that when the officer leaves the car it turns on and then turns off a random period of time after re-entering the car.
Having them run all day and all the time creates its own issue, unless you want to record them using the bathroom (which anyone would consider an invasion of privacy) or something similar.

So what about a 47 yr old Dude running his car in garage prompted cops to shoot someone else?

Maybe so, but they already dealt with the first issue, then they shot this guy just because?

The magic cop words are: "I thought I saw a gun, I was in fear for my life." Over and over.

The whining noise just kept boring deeper ... deeper ... deeper into my brain. I had to, I tells ya!

Or: "He was black! You know how racist those people are!" Wasn't there a cop defense ...

I believe about 10 seconds passed between him seeing the victim and shooting the victim.
