Cultural appropriation is a multicultural criticism of the melting pot but it strikes me as preaching to the choir, since liberal melting pot advocates are likely to agree with statements like "I think the best culture takes the best parts from many cultures". I get that you're saying the process is flawed when directed by white supremacy but that's true of literally everything that white supremacy touches (including multiculturalism).
I did also point out that the melting pot is often used as cover for white supremacy but, again, this is no different than other things that aren't inherently white supremacist that are used in the same way (the most stark example is the 180 on "the free market" when "the free market" decides that supporting far right rhetoric and literal insurrection is a bridge too far).
