There are always articles about how Republicans secretly hate Trump. They criticize him but it’s always “behind closed doors” or anonymously, and we hear about it second hand.

If all these Republicans really hated Trump, they wouldn’t have voted for him. But they clearly did. What they do or say privately means nothing if they support him publicly. Their public positions are the only ones that matter.
