Chwiesiuk was relieved of his police powers on June 2 — as soon as Brown said he was alerted to the charges against Chwiesiuk and hung up the phone with the feds.

Chwiesiuk was hired by the CPD in December 2018 and lives on the Northwest Side with his parents, according to his attorney, Tim Grace, a lawyer for the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 7 that represents rank-and-file CPD officers. He previously worked as a deputy with the Cook County sheriff’s office.

I like that he was canned before he was busted. I don't like that he's out on bail.

The part about living with his parents on the Northwest Side is so classically Chicago it's a realistic stereotype.
Cops have to live in the city limits. Many young ones live at home. The Northwest Side is as close to suburbia as you can find within the limits.

As a Cook County sheriff, he started out at the Cook County Jail. They all do. A former band mate of mine is a guard supervisor there.
