(2,577 posts)It does not come out and say that physicians, hospitals, and insurance companies can deny LGBTQ patients services based on their religious beliefs. It just says these entities can deny care when they feel providing care would be against their religious beliefs. HOWEVER, chances are really, really good that LGBTQ patients will be patients most likely to be denied services. The sad thing is that DeWine excused this by saying the bill just "codifies what is already happening in the state."
I think the world needs to know that in OHIO it is still perfectly legal to deny employment and housing to LGBTQ people. So this just fits in with what else is going on.
I keep thinking about the actual teachings of the gospels these so-called Christians pretend to believe in. As John Fugelsang points out, "Jesus never asked a fellow Nazarene for a copay." Jesus healed whoever sought healing ... and that included lepers. Hmmmm.
