4. I started school before there were

vaccines for measles, mumps, and chicken pox. But there were vaccines that we were required to get in order to attend school. I only remember two of them, diptheria and smallpox. Later, when the polio vaccine was available, we got that, too. Maybe I was just too young to notice, but I don't remember people refusing or resisting.
