6. The Scandinavian series are all really good. The best one, I think, is "Occupied"

which is on Netflix. I know some Norwegian (can read better than speak), so I can kind of understand what's going on without being totally stuck to the subtitles - Swedish is actually easier to understand, very similar to Norwegian but they speak more slowly. Spoken Danish is really tough to understand although the words are almost identical; it sounds like Norwegian spoken with a big mouthful of peanut butter. Check out the Icelandic shows - they tend to be particularly dark and weird. I suppose that's a result of being stuck on a small island in the North Atlantic with volcanoes and the hidden people.
