21. Could maybe see this if Flores hadn't been hired as a head coach

but he was. Now he's a former NFL head coach who was fired and in the market for a new gig.

Evidently the reason he was let go is because he tried to win games and not lose them as the owner wanted in pursuit of drafting near the top of the NFL draft. That is the real scandal, an owner, Stephen Ross, who was prepared to pay his head coach a bonus, reportedly 100k, for losing games.

When the Steelers were looking for a new coach after Cowher retired in 2006, all the media odds were on Russ Grimm getting the job. IIRC, there were even reports that Grimm was hired. As per the rule named after the owner, the Steelers interviewed then 1st year MN DC Mike Tomlin. Tomlin was so impressive in his interview, he was hired and 15 years later is still their head coach.

Same here, but I also worry that this could impact his ability to get hired again as a HC. Bleacher Creature Feb 2022 #4

If Flores can get beyond the initial motion to dismiss, then that opens up a world of possibilities... NurseJackie Feb 2022 #22
