I find it disturbing but not surprising how, about halfway through the piece, the conservative commentator immediately says "It's the liberal's fault! Everything wrong is because of the absolute control of government by the left." No attempt at analysis, no introspection, not even an awareness of reality, just attack.

I think the unanswered question to me is what do the deep money pockets want. I don't believe that they are motivated purely by ideology - they want a large, mostly unregulated part of the United States where they can act with impunity. I find it significant that most of the legislation at the state level that has been focused on actions that are intended to "drown the government in a bathtub", which is ultimately the end game of ALEC.
