Before Pearl Harbor a lot of Americans did not want to get involved in another European War.

WW1 was only 20 some years before.

President Roosevelt had to get creative to help England.

The Lend Lease Act.

He knew a war was coming.

He did start up the draft early.

I had a neighbor who was a kid in the Navy before the WW2 started. In the Atlantic Ocean fighting Nazis already.

We were involved early but not in open ways.

It took Pearl Harbor to wake up America.
