I can attest to the truth of what you say. But I think the endless attack ads running in western PA have taken a toll on Oz, too. They seem like they'd be effective with the kind of voters at whom they are aimed. Then there is Oz' years on TV and what he said then vs what he says now. The latter two things just add to what many already believe that Oz is a carpet-bagger who doesn't believe what he's telling voters.

The latest F&M Poll has him at only 18% after Trump endorsed him. Jmho, but if McCormick had continued with the clever ads playing up his PA roots and not trying to appeal to the Trumpers, he'd be leading the primary. McCormick's a traditional R, worked in a Bush admin. His wife, Dina Powell, worked in the Trump WH, but she was brought on board by Gary Cohen also a traditional R interested in using Trump for tax cuts, deregulation and other R economic priorities that favor the wealthy and business interests, but not interested in the rw social agenda of Bannon, Miller et al.
