The timing here is all wrong, too.

Too close to the election to be coincidence,
but the original FBI investigation is floating around for over two months?

We're not getting the full story, I'm pretty sure of that.

I think somebody tried to blackmail Broadwell,
and introduced this "FBI whistleblower" to make good on the threat.
