4. McCarthy has promised the insurrectionists positions on key committees, often replacing more

senior Republicans who would be in line for those committees. I would think those Republicans would not be happy to be cast aside for the likes of ignorant Boebert.

I wonder if McCarthy’s strategy is to get elected and then renege on his promises because even if one of the insurrectionists calls for his removal, that is unlikely to happen because I think it takes a 2/3rds vote to remove. Otherwise, the insurrectionists will be on some important committees, especially for finance, and they will try to shut the government down. They would not care about the credit of the US or a global recession because they would blame it all on Biden in 2024 and their voters would fall for it. Jeez, I despise these people.
