Are they sure about this? My whirlpool gas stove is 20 years old... no drama or issues or smells. I have a carbon monoxide monitor in the same room.

I am a bit confused. I thought the use of vent hoods with fans took care of the fumes & particulates

The other option, besides cooking with gas every day, is to have a partial or full house generator

I just have a gas grill with a side burner for pots outside for when the power goes out.
