It is a "statutory town" seven miles east of Rifle, where her ptomaine palace used to be until she proved herself to be as adept at business as she is at passin' GED tests. Population is under 4000. Businesses in Silt include two hotels - it's right on I-70, so that's reasonable - three gas stations none of which are near the freeway, one pawn shop, a pot store because Colorado, and a place that installs DUI ignition interlocks.
