In reply to the discussion: A woman has been taken into custody 4 days after Ajike 'AJ' Owens was fatally shot after knocking [View all]SunSeeker
(58,376 posts)58. AJ's 9 and 12 year old sons blame themselves for her death. It's heartbreaking.
The 9-year-old boy, who witnessed the shooting, blames himself because he first told his mom the neighbor had confronted him and his siblings.
In his soul, in his heart, its his fault that his older brother, his baby sister and his baby brother, as well as himself, will never see their mother again, Owens mother, Pamela Dias, told reporters Wednesday.
Dias, who spoke at a news conference a day after a 58-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the death, said another child also blamed himself because he was unable to perform CPR on his mother.
Grandma, grandma. I couldnt save her, Dias recalled the 12-year-old boy telling her.

These boys not only lost their mother because of this horrible Susan Louise Lorincz, but they blame themselves. Can you imagine how much pain they must be in?

OP
So how much longer are they going to keep this woman's identity a deep, dark secret?

Probably many terrible stories, and known only to family, friends, neighbors.

It's a miracle her 9 year old wasn't shot. He was standing right next to her. nt

".....if the races were reversed." LEO's would have acted much quicker and energetically.

There would have been more calculation on the sheriff's part had the races been reversed.

When do we get to the part where she says she's not racist because she has a black friend?

I am sure she has a black friend. Now wether or not that person knows is another matter.

I saw that excellent segment. One of Reid's strengths is tackling race and law enforcement issues.

How could she possibly have been able to "forcibly enter" a locked front door?
