A sentencing recommendation that starts at less than half of the maximum doesn't make sense to me.

About the assault charge alone, the law says:

Whoever, in the commission of any acts described in subsection (a), uses a deadly or dangerous weapon...or inflicts bodily injury, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years...

Maybe the MAGAt's lawyers were able to argue that getting tazed in the neck isn't "deadly or dangerous".

This reeks of bullshit. He should be doing 15...minimum!
