In reply to the discussion: The flu is soaring in 7 U.S. states and rising in others, health officials say [View all]Abolishinist
(3,062 posts)13. Interesting, same story here, I just got mine today.
I was asked if I would prefer both shots in one arm, or to put one in each. I hadn't heard of this, but ended up going with one in each arm. Covid left, Flu right.
So let me ask you this... did you notice any difference in the The Covid shot, which to me was just a little pin prick, vs. the Flu shot, which to me was noticably more than that? Because I thought the Flu shot was more intense than the Covid I asked the nurse if the needle was larger, or inserted more deeply, and she said both are the same size. So when I mentioned that the one on the right felt more intense than the other, she said most people have the same reaction, i.e. the dominant side felt more pain, but she wasn't sure why.

Shingrix must be your priority. You never want that. The others are a walk in the park in comparison

Any word on how effective this year's flu shots have been against the now active strains? . . .

I used to get symptoms from the flu shot all the time. Now I don't. Not even a sore arm.

I've been getting the flu shot for years, have never had the flu and don't even get colds anymore. I know it doesn't

When my kids come to visit (overnights) we all test before they come. Ditto when we visit them.
