In reply to the discussion: O.J. SIMPSON DEAD AT 76 After Cancer Battle [View all]SpankMe
(3,009 posts)30. I was working in Long Beach, CA at a large aerospace firm when the verdict was announced
It was an ethnically diverse environment and everyone got along for the most part. (I'm talking some 50,000 workers over a 250-acre plant site.)
After the not guilty verdict came down, the racial divisions became stark and lasted years afterward. All whites were universally enraged, and all blacks were defiant. Some whites started occasionally using the N-word openly. The division was like the parting of the Red Sea.
OJ caused so much shit. I, for one, won't miss him.

I don't think the cops figured out what really happened. I would have liked to have seen them quarantine all possible

I was in the same situation. I felt kind of let down by some of my friends at the time.

Put the casket in a White Ford Bronco and drive down the highway at 40 mph with a police escort.

I wonder if Ron Goldman's family will be able to collect any of their judgment from his estate?

I didn't like OJ but I don't like cancer. He really screwed up so many lives, and the dead.
