In reply to the discussion: Louisiana governor 'can't wait to be sued' after forcing the ten commandments in classrooms [View all]slightlv
(7,795 posts)the minute they did that, I'd be there with a copy of "The Charge of the Goddess" to be hung right next to it. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Let's not try to take down the 10 Commandments... that's just playing right into the only move they see coming right now. Instead, let's hang the major writings from as many religions as we can get. Hea... if one is good, 100 should be better right?
Then we can sit back and watch them bitch and moan at how Johnny can't read or do math. When all they teach is religion, everything else suffers. And this country goes that much further backwards in the world economy. Those kids who are smart or manage to obtain a decent education will leave the U.S. and take a job in their field in another country that will appreciate them, and pay them appropriately. Probably also give them freedom of/from religion, as well as the other rights this country is stripping from all of us.
Gods, how stupid ARE these magats?! Do they not realize that pendulums swing? (note: they probably don't!). But when THIS pendulum swings back the other way (which it will) they better be glad they got to see their stuff up front for whatever time it was. Because I hope after that, it will ALL be blacklisted and against the law to push it, even covertly, on another person anywhere. All their pomp and circumstance will be for nothing as we push the whole damned mish-mash of xtian nationalism back under the rocks and bury it 10 feet deep - hopefully never to be seen again. While doing that, WE can run the camps their so crazy about building for US, and run them to hopefully deprogram all the cult members. That's my personal like, anyway...
