7. That's what scares me too

While I think he was genuinely shaken up by what happened Saturday (who wouldn't be?), I also worry that it gives him an opening to rebrand himself and potentially get above that 46-47 point ceiling he's been stuck at (which sadly is potentially enough on its own for him to win the electoral college).

That said, this isn't the first time he's had nice things to say about Biden or other Democrats after they are nice to him. He was similarly complimentary when he and Biden spoke about COVID at some point in 2020, and I think also when Biden called him when he got COVID in October 2020. If someone he usually doesn't get along with is nice to him he will say so. I read somewhere that he really liked the letter Obama left him in 2017, and glowed about that for days.
