Haitian group brings criminal charges against Trump, Vance for Springfield comments

34. They're criminal charges filed in municipal court. I don't know how that works.

I noticed there was a felony, which will probably be thrown out because most municipal courts cannot handle felonies. Unless there is some way it could go to the DA. I think these types of criminal cases are limited to minor charges.
Some of these charges could stick and Trump could face a fine. Most municipalities do not have jails these days.

But I think overall this will be "successful" for the plaintiffs. I think it will be the equivalent of a civil case without hefty amounts of money and time involved like actual civil suits.

I think it's a good idea! It will be quick and the penalties will be light, but it should shut Trump and Vance up with regard to their false claims about Haitians. (They could also sue, but that will takes alot of time). The overall goal is to get Trump and Vance to stop their ridiculous claims.
