In reply to the discussion: 'Not What We Signed Up For': Trump Voter Rips Trump Policies To WSJ -- Says 'I Don't Like Chaos' [View all]LeftInTX
(34,913 posts)59. An investor?? Tariff threats, market turbulence causing jitters early in Trump's second term
The Mediate article references a WSJ article with the following title:
The Mood of the American Consumer is Souring
https://www.wsj.com/economy/consumers/americans-jittery-over-inflation-university-of-michigan-survey-suggests-1476cf39
Of course, article is totally paywalled.
I guess the guy isn't worried about eggs as much as his portfolio??????
I dont like the turbulence. I dont like the chaos in the market, said Paul Bisson, a 58-year-old, who writes proposals for a flight safety company and co-owns a dog daycare in San Antonio. Bisson voted for Trump, but feels his policies have led to that chaos.
Bisson is hoping to retire in the not-too-distant future, and is worried that wont be possible if Trump follows through with his tariff threats rather than just using them as a negotiating tactic.
That will make the economy worse, and thats not what we signed up for, Bisson said. Weve already cut back. Theres no more cutting back to do.

OP
Nope, you voted for it. Every eviction, every foreclosure, every lien, every price going up because of inflation...

Knowing who and what Trump is, does anyone believe he'll give up his office now that he runs the government?

Oh no, you don't. You people said you wanted to "shake things up," that the "status quo" was yucky.
